Third Party Integrations

Optible plugs into the grant management tools you already use. Rather than replacing your current system, it connects to it, assesses the applications that arrive, and sends the results back.

What Optible integrations do

When you connect Optible to a tool like Salesforce, SmartyGrants or Box:

  • Grant applications flow in from your connected platform

  • Optible assesses them, validating compliance, checking eligibility and scoring against your criteria

  • Results flow back into your original system so your team can make decisions faster

You keep using the tools you already know. Optible adds the assessment on top. If your platform is not on the list, your own API is a supported route in both directions.

Applications arrive from a connected platform, from Box, or from your own API. Optible assesses them and results go back the same way.

Where to find integrations

In Optible, go to Settings > Integrations. This page shows:

  • All available integrations you can connect

  • Which integrations you're currently using

  • Connection status for each one

  • Options to manage or disconnect

How to connect an integration

The process is the same for most integrations:

  1. Go to Settings > Integrations

  2. Find the tool you want to connect and click Connect

  3. You'll be taken to that platform (Salesforce, SmartyGrants, etc.) to authorise Optible

  4. After you approve access, you'll be sent back to Optible to confirm the connection

  5. The integration is now active

Most integrations use OAuth, which means Optible can access what it needs without storing your passwords.

Available integrations

Salesforce

Optible integrates with Salesforce CRM to bring assessment directly into your customer and grant application records. Assessment results, eligibility checks and scoring appear in your Salesforce interface so your team has all the information they need.

Salesforce Grantmaking

If you use the Salesforce Grantmaking managed package, Optible works with that system separately. This integration is built for organisations using Salesforce's dedicated grantmaking tools.

SmartyGrants

Connect applications submitted through SmartyGrants directly to Optible for automated assessment. Assessment results flow back into SmartyGrants so your team can review scores and recommendations without leaving the platform.

Cognito Forms

Connect your Cognito Forms applications to Optible for intelligent assessment. Forms are validated and assessed automatically, with results available immediately.

Box

Box works differently from the others, because a folder of files is not a form submission. Connect a Box account and each folder becomes an Optible application, with the files inside it becoming attachments for assessment.

Because the files arrive as a folder rather than as answers to named questions, Box has a few extras:

  • Attachment routing rules file each incoming document against the right form question, based on its name or folder path.

  • Manual re-sync lets you pull the latest files immediately instead of waiting for the next scheduled sync, either for the whole connection or for one application.

  • Folder links are created in both directions, so you can jump from an application to its Box folder and back again.

  • Write-back puts the generated application document into a subfolder of the same Box folder once assessment is done.

Your own API, in and out

Your own system is a supported route in both directions, whether or not it appears on this list. Optible does not need your data in a particular shape: send applications in whatever structure your system already uses, and Optible writes results back into the fields you nominate.

See Connecting Optible to Any System for how the two directions work and what we need in order to scope it.

Coming soon

We're working on integrations for:

- Airtable — Validate, score, and enrich grant records managed in Airtable

- JotForms — Send JotForms submissions to Optible for instant assessment

- Microsoft Dynamics 365 — Grant management with Optible assessment built in

- Blackbaud — Optible assessment for nonprofits

Managing your integrations

Once you've connected an integration, you can:

- View connection status — See if the integration is active and when it last synced

- Disconnect — Click the menu and select Disconnect to stop the integration (data won't be deleted, but Optible will no longer assess new applications from that source)

- Re-authorise — If a connection expires or needs updating, you can re-authorise by clicking Connect again
